The first Russian conference on Graphene: Molecule and 2D Crystal

On September 8-12, 2015, the first Russian conference on Graphene: Molecule and 2D Crystal was held in Novosibirsk with the support of AkKo Lab, Russian Foundation for Basic Research, NT-MDT, Scientific-Research Institute for Natural, Synthetic Diamonds and Tools (VNIIALMAZ).

On September 8-12, 2015, the first Russian conference on Graphene: Molecule and 2D Crystal was held in Novosibirsk with the support of AkKo Lab, Russian Foundation for Basic Research, NT-MDT, Scientific-Research Institute for Natural, Synthetic Diamonds and Tools (VNIIALMAZ), attended by around 200 leading Russian and foreign specialists.

The conference presented modern scientific achievements in synthesis and characterization of graphene, physics and chemistry of graphene, its derivatives: graphene in electronics, electrochemistry, biomedicine and catalysis; prospects for graphene production and its environmental impact.

The conference program included meetings on the following topics:

- Graphene and Related Structures Synthesis;

- Theoretical Methods Applied to Graphene Materials;

- Graphene and related Structures Diagnostics;

- Graphene- and Related Structure-Based Materials and Devices;

- Carbon Nanoparticle-Based Hybrid Materials.

AkKo Lab LLC employees presented the following reports: within the Graphene- and Related Structure-Based Materials and Devices section, A.Y. Rychagov, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, presented the report on Graphene Oxide Electrochemical Reduction for Use in Chemical Power Sources; in the Graphene and Related Structures Synthesis Section, S.V. Tkachev, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, presented the report on Graphene Obtained by Reducing Graphene Oxide with Supercritical Propanol, who also presented the report on R&Ds of AkKo Lab LLC.   The reports caused hot discussions and received a positive feedback.
